Market Summary

Volume and value traded plunged further to take the market to its lowest daily turnover in one month.

The All-Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.24% to close at 34,885.51 points, bringing the Year-to-date performance of the market to 29.97%.

Market capitalization rose to N18.23 trillion (+0.24%). The week’s net gain closed at N390.26 billion (+2.19%).

Total volume traded plunged to 190.28 million units (-26.12%), valued at N3.33 billion (-5.64%).

The market recorded 18 gainers and 16 losers (Thursday: 21 against 21).

The Pension index led with +0.28% while the Insurance index trailed with -1.93%.

MTNN, Unilever and FBNH appreciated while GTB and Guinness lost today.

MTNN, Zenith and GTB dominated the turnover chart in value terms.

UPDCREIT closed as the week’s best performing stock with +44.74% while Japaul Oil finished worst with -17.24%.
